Description
The 12 Point Magnetic Final Drive Plug is designed to prevent the maintainer from slipping off the traditional square type drain plugs, by using an 12 point drain fitting it forces the maintainer to use an socket and prevents the socket slipping off, this significantly reduces the risk of injury to the maintainer. The sight glass also allows the maintainer to inspect the oil level in the final drive without removing the plug thus eliminating the chance of injury from removing the traditional style plug. The plug also has an optional CAT SOS style fitting that will allow the maintainer to obtain an sample using an sample port which also eliminates the need to remove the plug for the purpose of obtaining an sample. The plug was designed for use on the Komatsu 930 Haul Truck Final Drives but can be used on anything with an 1 1/2″ NPT plug.
